MarcAshken, if you want to add more width to your back and shoulders , YOU NEED TO ADD QUALITY MASS i.e. bodyweight...this boils down to NUTRITION....the no. 1 rule is
1......eat something every 2 hrs. (it doesn't have to be a big meal as long as it contains protein and carbohydrates ex. if your day is busy and your up and down all day just pre-mix 1 or 2 protein shakes and in the middle of your busy time take 2 seconds and drink it)
2.....a good rule of thumb if you want to lose or gain weight is this...multiply 10-11 times your current bodyweight to lose weight or get cut 12 times bwt. to maintain your current weight...14-18 times your bodyweight to gain muscle without gaining too much fat ex. i'm 220 now and still in a growth mode until may where i'll be around 237-240 after which i'll cut to about 215-225 so in my growth phase right now i take in 17 times my bodyweight to gain whereas once i SLOWLY start to 'cut' i'll SLOWLY ease into taking in 10-11 times my bodyweight
keep you caloric ratio in moderation whether you cutting or gaining,,this means NO ATKINS TYPE NONSENSE so you don't lose hard earned mucle or pigging out during your gaining phase and put on too much fat
GOOD LUCK :)
